Evelyn Diane Simpson obituary

The funeral of Evelyn Diane Simpson, 18, of 3048 County Road 1950N, Minonk, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy. The Rev. Tom Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery, Kinmundy. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, and for one hour before the service Sunday at Neal Funeral Home.

She died at 4:11 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) as a result of an automobile accident in rural Minonk.

Memorials may be made to Fieldcrest High School Art Department.

She was born Aug. 21, 1984, in Victorville, Calif., a daughter of Harvey W. and Renea Peters Simpson.

Surviving are her father, Harvey W. (fiance, Debbie Bobinski) Simpson, Minonk; her mother, Renea (Jason) Barubi, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; paternal grandmother, Evelyn R. Simpson, Kinmundy; maternal grandmother, Diane (Dave) Stewart, Lake Havasu City; maternal grandfather, William (Helen) Peters of California; one brother, Justin Simpson, Lake Havasu City; one stepsister, Michelle Bobinski, at home; and two stepbrothers, Eric McMillan and Ricky Bobinski, both at home.

Her paternal grandfather, Roscoe E. Simpson, preceded her in death.

Evelyn was a senior at Fieldcrest High School, Minonk. She had worked as a dietary aid at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk, for the past year.

She enjoyed drawing and spending time with her family. She was well-known and loved for her smile and jovial laughter. She will be missed by all who know her.
